Zydante is a relatively new furniture brand, that exists since 2000.
All products have been designed by prominent designers.
They share a lack of compromise.
The first model Zydante introduced was the bed in aluminum and cherrywood was het bed in aluminium en kersenhout, designed by Piet Hein Eek.
Out of production by now, this has become a true design classic.
Piet Hein Eek graduated in 1990, from the Eindhoven Design Academy.
He immediately became well-known for his scrapwood closets.
A following 'doors project', in which old doors were put into new cupboards, was put on display in the Stedelijk Museum.
Recently, the Groninger Museum exhibited a number of garden houses designed by Piet Hein Eek.
Besides projects for theatres and schools, Piet Hein Eek was also responsible for all furniture in The Garden Cafe of The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The 'Le Marechal Bernadotte' bed was designed by Ravage.
Ravage is the cooperation between two Dutch designers from Paris, Clemens RAmeckers and Arnold VAn GEuns.
They often use themes like patriotism, the Napoleontic era and contradictory subjects like virtue and sin, sickness and healing.
Their productivity is exceptionally great.
Under the Ravage signature, an enormous flow appeared, of furniture, curtain fabrics, table linen, painted crockery, glass and Swatch watches.
The men of Ravage were, apart from Philippe Starck, the only French designers participating in Mendini's 100% make-up project by Alessi.
Paintings by Ravage enjoy increasing popularity.
Their most recent exposition at Galerie Quintessens in Utrecht was sold out in a short time.
Another of Ravage's activities is the design of uniforms. Take, for instance, the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways), TPG Post (Dutch national Mail) and Het Muziektheater (Amsterdam Music Theatre): a few of the companies and institutions that brought in the genius of Ravage for the optimalization of their aura.
And so, from the same Ravage, there's the bed that knows no equal: Le Marechal Bernadotte.
Lammerts van Bueren brings you Zydante: style and comfort, with you as the measure of things.
