The mattress, accurately tailored to your individual weight and sleeping habits, adapts to your body, in the ideal, well-balanced anatomical position. The stable boxspring suspends any movement evenly and so forms the basis of this combination.

People asleep, during their night's rest, on average lose a quarter of a litre of fluid. A little bit of that is absorbed by the nightclothes and bedding, but the overall most important role in the transport of fluids is played by the mattress's ventilation.

A look at the interior of the boxspringcombination shows how Schramm solves the problem through exceptional expert skill.

Covering materials are joined together by way of an intensive confection (dotted blindly), and not, as is often customary, almost entirely glued airtight.

The interaction between actively ventilating materials, the ventilation space in the boxspring and mattress, as well as the movements of the body during sleep, work like a pair of bellows. Air can, without trouble, permanently circulate in all directions and so ventilate too.

Not every bed is as good as its springs. They are the invisible heart of the mattress. It is on their tireless dynamic and elasticity that the refreshing deep sleep rests.

In this way, a fluent transition of different spring powers in the mattress is created. Because people's weight isn't distributed evenly accross their bodies.

And because each cyllinder spring is stitched into a pocket (bag) separately, by hand, it can react virtually independently from the adjacent spring, and accurately fit itself to the contours and movements of the body, inch by inch.

Pure individualism, for a perfect sleeping culture.

Especially for sidesleepers, the patented shoulder segment was developed. In this, springs with a reduced spring power are implemented. In the shoulder segment, elastic cotton and lycra fibre (96% cotton) provide extra relaxation.

Individual weight is taken into account as well. Schramm offers you five different firmnesses, for the Mythos and Opus mattress models.

For three generations already, Schramm produces pocketspring mattresses with oven-thermally stabilized springs.

This means the springs in the Mythos and Opus mattress models, after twisting, are baked in an oven at 536°.

The object of this treatment is to return to the springs their original structure, which was altered by the twisting. It is only after the stabilizing that they remain resilient, durably dynamic and elastic.

At the same time, the springs are demagnetized and form a power balance matching the natural earthmagnetic field. Schramm is one of the few manufacturers still practising this stabilizing method.

The motor-adjustable undermattresses do what you want. Thought-out down to the most minute detail. The choice is yours, between eight different versions with up to five movable elements in various preferred positions. Barely audible, but steplessly movable.

They are even used in American hospitals. In particular, this motor is suitable for people with a pacemaker. The lowcurrent motors have an integrated voltagefree circuit. Through the transformer, current only flows when the movement mechanism is activated.

All motor-adjustable undermattresses have an emergency provision in case power fails.

At Schramm, they are by no means satisfied with what has been accomplished so far.

For through minute changes, quality can still be noticeably improved and individualization can be expanded even more.

For the S.C.A. (Secundary Contour Adjustment), international patent has been applied for, after three years of development.

Depending on the individual build of the body, narrow or broad shoulders for instance, pronounced or slim contours of the pelvis, or in pregnancy, the boxspring can, at the shoulder- and pelvic-segments, steplessly be set, independent of one another, up to 0.3'' upward and up to 0.7'' downward.

This adjustability, that can be altered at any moment, together with the proper firmness of the mattress, defines the optimal lying position.

In doing so, traditional, manual production methods are united with the newest technological insights, material knowledge and sound medical advice. For your bed is a highly personal matter, just as unique as you yourself are.
