His son, Karl Schramm junior, takes over the company in 1959. Halfway through the Sixties, he specializes in the manufacture of high-quality mattresses.

During the Seventies, the concept for the current program evolves: specialist shops and interior decorating specialists incorporate the designs in their exclusive collections.

These days, Schramm Werkstätten GmbH is governed by brother and sister Axel and Susanne Schramm, the fourth generation already.

Currently, 370 partners home and abroad are committed to the Schramm program. From the Benelux, via Saint Petersburg to Miami. The export percentage measures 40%. The tendency is rising.

The generous architecture provides room for both modern manufacturing methods as well as traditional processing techniques. Individual consumer wishes are realized here in the furniture factory, the upholstery department and the textile-studio.

From mattress and the complete bed with matching side furniture, up to accessories like plaids and bedding. Today, the company has 80 employees.

Great demands are placed on the design: the shape must be both contemporary as well as timeless, cosmopolitan and future-oriented.

Internationally renowned designers, as for instance Ulf Moritz (Urbana range), design for Schramm.

At Schramm, the thinking is linear: meaning and rationale govern each separate workprocess. Environmental awareness and sense of responsibility mark the entire production.
