"...for sleeping comfort made to fit"
The history of Lattofex is a succession of permanent innovations.

Specific quality, in this: the revolutionary and, at the same time, unique character.

The invention of the lathwork base dates back to the Fifties. It caused a true revolution in the bedroom.

In those days, engineer Hugo Degen, a young Swiss, tried to deliver his spouse, who had a backache due to an accident, from her complaints.

In cooperation with a doctor and following thorough investigation, Hugo Degen, in 1955, invented the first bedbase with flexible lats, mounted on rubber holders.

The foundation was laid for the Lattoflex philosophy: prevent backaches, by way of a sophisticated sleeping system.

In 1957 the first Lattoflex-patent was registered.

At that moment in time, Hugo Degen came into contact with the Belgian Roger Verhaegen and the German Wilfried Thomas.

Together, they further elaborated the base model, and in 1958 introduced the middle webbing, for a better adjustment of the bedbase to the body.

Lattoflex invented the rotule in 1961; the slats gained more flexibility, where both tilt and suspension were concerned.

In the same year, Lattoflex products were launched on the French market.

The head-support made its entry. From now on, the head of a bed could be adjusted.

The first Lattoflex latex mattress, and the flexible Multiplex-slat, were introduced in 1962.

For the first time in history, people have at their disposal a full-blown sleeping system, that takes the anatomy of the sleeper into account, and guarantees a correct sleeping posture of the spinal column.

In 1967 the back segment became adjustable, through the invention of the back support.

In 1971 the Lattoflex-system became an integral relaxation system, because the whole lying surface could integrally be positioned 1,4" or 2,6" slightly slanted, by raising the base at the foot.

This stimulates blood circulation and the relaxation of the muscles.

This invention was, in 1974, followed up with the introduction of the seat segment.

In 1981 the first Lattoflex-system with electrically adjustable back support was introduced.

In 1997 the Winx-base arrived, with a revolutionary new wingsystem.

In 1998 nam Recticel de firma Lattoflex-Verhaegen over.

1999 was the year of the new Winx 200, the first base with wing elements that offers a threedimensional support.

You are, so to speak, borne by wings, that perfectly follow the contours of your body, for a correct lying posture.

In 2002 the Winx Active was introduced, a massage system that can be integrated into the Winx-bedbase, and contributes to a relaxed and stressless sleep.

Thus, Lammerts van Bueren, as it has for years already, offers you the best for your back with Lattoflex: sleeping comfort made to fit!
