"...create a comfortable life for yourself"
A chiropractor laid the foundation for Carpe Diem's founding.

A chiropractor with a passion for beds, that is. A fervent bedfreak. All his life, he busied himself developing the ideal bed, with his knowledge and insight.

Until, in the seventies, he was discovered by hospitals. It wasn't long before he was approached with the request to develop a bed for the hospitals. A bed with an emphasis on point-elasticity, pressure reduction, craftsmanship, quality and design.

Soon, the revolutionary bed was supplied to almost all hospitals and medical institutions in Sweden: it became a resounding success.

The chiropractor perished in an unfortunate yachting accident, in 1994.

His two sons decided to continue the work of their father, and in the same year the Carpe Diem brandname was registered.

The goal being to make it a strong brand.

With point-elasticity, pressure reduction, craftsmanship, quality and design as main pillars - to achieve the best night's rest, so that one can really 'seize the day'.

The visco-elastic segment, below the pocket suspension, for pressure reduction, is patented.

Lysekil, in Sweden, is where head office and production are based.

Here, the beds are made by experienced craftsmen, according to a production manner of true craftsmanship.

In Sweden, these beds are sold by more than 115 retailers, and Carpe Diem has established a strong market position in short time.

Now, international expansion has begun, and one can, at competitive prices, enjoy Carpe Diem's comfort and quality in Holland, too.

In yachting in Sweden, Carpe Diem remains active to this day: Carpe Diem sponsors Linda Rahm's Team Daros.
